Principal Investigator (PI): Wei Zhao
Dr. Wei Zhao is currently an Assistant Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK. He obtained PhD in Aerospace Engineering at Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, VA). After that, he worked as research associate/scientist at Virginia Tech to continue his research work that were initiated during his PhD studies.
Dr. Zhao has wide research areas in aerospace structures and multidisciplinary design, analysis and optimization. His research work in airplane multidisciplinary design, analysis and optimization has been reviewed by Aerospace America annual review in 2017 and 2019. He has been served as reviewers for many up to 40 international journals and reviewers for the world's largest aerospace research events, AIAA SciTech and AIAA Aviation Forums. He was also invited to chair/co-chair AIAA SciTech forum sessions. In addition, he is currently a topic editor to Journal of Composite Science and an editorial board member of finite element method book (to appear).
